Instituted in 2007 as a program in the city of Boston, Welcoming Massachusetts helped pave the way for a united Greater Boston, bringing together communities of different backgrounds to be all united together as neighbors, friends, welcoming communities!
Welcoming MA gradually saw much success, growing and expanding in the Greater Boston area. At the campaigns completion in Boston, a new chapter began to be written in Framingham and surrounding cities and towns. Strong to this day, Welcoming Framingham is uniting and bringing immignrat and native communities closer and closer together.
Moving to understand one another is key to a welcoming and united community. Showcases such as the Boston Children's Museum partnership to educate all about the struggles of refugees helped increasing the awareness and understanding of our diverse communities.
There are several Welcoming initiatives across the country. Learning from one another helps us create a more unified nation, moving towards a more Welcoming America. When communities unite to learn from one another so much more can be done.
The work does not finish, it only continues until we can all call ourselves neighbors who trully know one another. With mentions in the media, Welcoming Massachusetts is poiseed to continue its efforts, but we need you in order to succeed. Help us change hearts and minds.
