What: Children of immigrant families read holiday cards to Governor Patrick & President Elect Obama and deliver the cards to the office of Governor Patrick

Where: State House, Conference Room B1

When: Tuesday, December 16th at 3:30pm

Why: During this time of hope & joy, the immigrant community is also expressing its desire for change and the enactment of just & humane immigration reform.  read more »

Arlington Board of Selectmen UNANIMOUSLY endorses Welcoming MA

On Monday, August 11, 2008, the Arlington Board of Selectmen endorsed the Welcoming MA pledge unanimously and enthusiastically. Their interest in having Arlington be a welcoming community was clear. There are also plans for the board to pass the pledge in resolution form.

This is great news! Thanks to Susan Lees of United for Justice and Peace for the update and all of the groups in Arlington for their hard and wonderful work!
